Stewart Harris
Back in the 1970's, when I was living
in Alexandria, VA, my friends and I frequented the Reading Gaol, a saloon
in DC, where we looked forward to seeing Stewart Harris perform.
I have often thought of him over the years, especially when I hear one
of the old songs. And for many years I tried to locate a copy of
his album, Sing Me a Rainbow.
Now, thanks to the miracle of the
web, I have learned that Stewart Harris is famous! I am glad - he
was a great entertainer and songwriter back in those days of yore.
I found that that he received an award at the 1999 Alabama Music Hall of
Fame induction ceremony! AND I found his album!! It took 25
years, but now I have a copy!
